You can absolutely make zerker work for hc if desired (ive seen hc players mention playing one with rhyme or with stormshield offhand to get max block), but I think singer would likely be both better and safer. With the zerker axe you will need to repair often. The zerker will have more dmg due to the base, but it wont be game changing. It will talke time and gold for the repairs.
