Actually they both use the same cylinder/piston and everything.The more CFM, the more leaves you'll move in a shorter amount of time. As as fuel consumption, the 600 might have a very slightly, not even noticeable, higher fuel consumption than the 550, but not by even an amount that is worth taking into account. At the rate the BR600 moves leaves you'll care less about the fuel consumption.
